The evolution of Optimus

Tesla Bot, also known as Optimus was announced at the company's Artificial Intelligence (AI) Day event on August 19th, 2021. CEO Elon Musk claimed during his speech that they would likely build a prototype by 2022 and if successful it could lead to many more jobs being created in America!

It is now 2022 and Tesla held its second AI Day.

In a presentation at Tesla's AI Day event yesterday, CEO Elon Musk revealed their first working human-like robot. The prototype features many similar functions to those found within cars' Autopilot driver assistance system - including sharing some software and sensors with its vehicles' standard safety protocols.

Here’s the evolution of Optimus in 2021 and 2022.
